The operating feature of the drive motor for electric vehicle is a typical intermittent periodic duty. The determination and verification method of rated parameters are very important to ensure the reliability of the drive motor and avoid excessive design. Based on the operating characteristics of the drive motor, the method of determining the rated power was introduced and the testing verification methods of the output capability were proposed.
