This paper was focused on the grid codes of main wind power markets in the world, especially for the technical challenge, fault ride through design of turbine generators. More attentions were taken for the different kinds of fault ride through problems of wind turbine generators, such as interactions between the electricity network and three kinds of main wind turbines, and technical schemes on the design step. There is a valuable reference for the grid operators and wind farm owners.
