The main treatment methods of oil sludge in the world include sludge quality adjustment and mechanical dew-atering, extraction method, biological treatment, microwave treatment, ultrasonic treatment and so on. Ultrasonic technolo-gy has the advantages of low energy consumption, high eff-iciency, short reaction time, simple facilities, and smal occ-upation area. This paper reviews the ultrasonic treatment te-chnology research and the applications of oilfield oily sludge in current, which based on the physical and chemical prope-rties of oil sludge and treatment status.
