Outcome-based education is a teaching method orga-nizing the teaching activity with learning outcome as the core and it is oriented by the needs of students' professional ability devel-opment. By applying outcome-based education in the teaching of"English for Outbound Tour Leaders", this paper attempted to promote the development of students' comprehensive ability in-cluding English language proficiency and professional ability.
