终身教育是人们在一生中所受教育的总和,这种思想在古代已有萌芽。人类社会进入现代之后,终身教育逐渐成为一种教育思潮,引起各国教育理论与实践工作者的极大关注,它已成为各国教育改革的一个重要发展方向。终身教育特别注重教育的整体性、连续性、全民性,它有力地推进了教育大众化的进程,促进了个体能力的培养和人格的完善,从而实现个体发展与教育发展的双赢目标。当前,结合我国国情,顺应世界趋势、时代潮流和国家发展的需要,全面推广终身教育理念、建立健全终身教育的保障机制和构建学习型社会显得尤为必要和重要。为适应时代发展对个体和教育提出的要求和挑战,对教师职前职后的培训定位势在必行。

Lifelong Education is a total of received education of people in their lifetime , and the idea of Lifelong education sprouted in ancient time . Lifelong education gradually became an educational trend as well as an important direction of education reform when human society entered into modern time , and drew great attention from education theory and practice workers of various countries . Lifelong education pays special attention to integrity , continuity and universality of education , w hich largely promotes the process of popularization of education , facilitate the cultivation of individual capacity and perfection character , and fulfill the win-win aim of individual and educational development . Nowadays , in light of our national reality , world trend and the development need of our country ,it is very important and necessary at present to spread the idea of lifelong education , establish lifelong education quarantee mechanism and build learning society . It is also imperative to fix position of pre-service and post-career training for teachers to fit in with the require and challenge of era development for individuals and education .
