为了直观、全面地评价固态盘性能,提出加权虚拟转数(Weighted-vRPM )的概念,用以分析硬盘和固态盘的存储特性。固态盘在不同存取粒度下性能存在较大差异。利用某环境下粒度的分布及存取频度情况,计算加权值;将固态盘不同粒度下的IOPS值乘以加权值,得到Weighted-vRPM值,即固态盘相当于多少转硬盘。计算结果表明,该方法能真实反映固态盘的性能。

In order to evaluate the performance of solid state disk (SSD) ,the weighted virtual revolutions per minute (Weighted-vRPM ) is proposed to analyze HDD and SSD storage characteristics .There is great difference of differ-ent access granularity performance of SSD .Using size distribution and access frequency of a certain environment , the weighted value can be calculated ;the Weighted-vRPM value is equal to the weight multiplied by the SSD IOPS in the different size ,which is the RPM compared to HDD .Calculations show that this method can reflect the perform-ance of SSD .
