Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on compliance behaviors in patients with diabetes. Methods Nursing intervention was performed on 120 hospitalized patients with diabetes during January 2011 to May 2012.The related knowledge over diabetes, risk factors, changes of compliance behaviors, patient satisfaction, and levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postmeal glucose, and glycosylated hemoglobin were compared before and after nursing intervention. Results The related knowledge over diabetes, risk factors, change of compliance behaviors, and patient satisfaction were much greater in patients after receiving nursing intervention.Levels of blood glucose were much lowered. There were statistical difference before and after nursing intervention (11.46 ± 2.83 mmol/L vs.6.79 ± 1.31 mmol/L,14.67 ± 3.13 mmol/L vs.8.65 ± 2.23 mmol/L,and 7.85 % ± 1.33 % vs.6.18 % ± 0.76 %,P < 0.05).Conclusions Nursing intervention can effectively improve compliance behaviors in hospitalized patients with diabetes.
