“具有广泛多样的阅读兴趣，努力扩大自己的阅读视野。学会正确、自主地选择阅读材料，读好书，读整本书，丰富自己的精神世界，提高文化品位”。这是新课标对高中生的阅读要求。而事实上，在高考指挥棒的影响下，高中生的课外阅读却不尽如人意，需要广大语文教育工作者进行研究与指导。本课题组对六盘水市部分高中学生的课外阅读状况进行调查后认为，六盘水市高中生课外阅读存在着重视不够、条件不好、指导不力、习惯不良、阅读量不够、阅读品味不高等等问题。解决这些问题，提高教师的重视程度是关键，认真落实高中语文新课程标准是保障，加强校本课程建设是抓手，适当的高考检测是导向，培养兴趣、养成终身阅读习惯是落脚点。

The new currculum reguires that the senior high school students should have a vast and various interests in their reading in order to boarden their vision of reading ,and that they should have their own idea and understanding of sellecting proper reading materials ,and read inspiring books and complete copies in order to enjoy a taste of cultural styles and build a rich inner world of their own. However,being dominated by the entrance examination of college, the reading done by the senior high school students after class leaves much to be desired.This askes the teachers to offer them more instruction and direction. The present paper is a report of the problems found in the research ,and it also orgues that it is necessary to encouragethe students to derelop a good habit of reading by giving them proper instrustions and directions to improve the guality of their reading activities after class.
