The thesis of “literary life in temporary society” is of great importance concerning both theory and practice .In this area ,issues such as general literature reading and consuming ,literature planning and communication ,as well as literary impact on social life are discussed .Exploring this thesis in-depth enriches literary history construction ,strengthens the advancement of modern and contemporary Chinese literature , and makes literature study complete , comprehensive and energetic .In addition ,it follow s the conception of “humanistic concern” ,and caters for the common spiritual needs and cultural life .In this sense ,it could be viewed as a significant basis of cultural development ,and provides theoretical reference for the enactment and implementation of cultural policies .
