挣值管理（Earned Value Management，EVM）是一种把项目进度、成本进行联合监控的系统管理方法。而传统挣值法中没有对承包单位的利润差进行分析。因此为找出是工程量还是相应价格的变化引起利润波动，而引进一个变量-利润差。为后期承包单位对工程项目未完活动的成本控制提供更加科学有利的依据。
