在充分利用车牌投影特征和纹理特征的基础上,以准确快速自动识别车辆牌照为最终目标,经过灰度变换、边缘检测、形态学处理、二值化处理等多种图像处理方式,并考虑了图像在拍摄、传输过程中可能存在的噪声干扰、光照不均等不利因素的影响,以M atlab为开发平台编程实现车辆牌照自动识别全过程,经对多幅车牌图像进行实验,测试结果表明该系统运行快速稳定、正确识别率较高,具备实际应用价值。

With the ultimate goal of automatic identifiying the license plate fast and accurately ,the paper makes full use of the features of the license plate projection and the vein .Many image processing methods are involved ,such as mono-chrome image processing ,edge detection ,pattern processing and binarization .Besides ,many disadvantageous details are also considered ,such as the noise interference ,the uneven illumination and so on .By means of Matlab ,the automatic identifica-tion of the license plate is realized ,and test shows that the method is effectual and can correctly recognize the license plate characters fast and accurately ,having the value of applications .
