The use of tap water for flushing positive plate of zinc-silver oxide battery on the battery electrochemical performance was discussed.After formation,plate was flushed by the tap water in the early stage,then the surface of the plate would generate AgCl precipitation and be attached to the precipitation.To the deep charged plate,it would reduce the initial work voltage dramatical-ly.While to the shallow charged plate,it had no obvious influence on the work voltage.With the incearsing of charge depth,its effect on initial work voltage was greater.
