“后进生”通常情况而言指的是道德品行或学业成绩较差甚至两者均差的学生，它是相对于某个学生群体而言的。事实上“后进生”并非是因为遗传或生理方面的原因而导致的“问题生”，主要是后天的环境与教育失误等因素而形成的特殊学生。后进生在每个班级当中都是存在的，他们给班级造成诸多不良影响，但不可否认的是他们在一定条件下是能够转变的。

Generally “backward students”refers to students who have poor school performance or bad moral character or students who perform badly in both. It is in opposition to some group of students. In fact, “backward students”are not“problem students”resulting from genetic or physiological reasons, but special students resulting from environment, incorrect education, and so on. They exist in every class, having a bad effect on classes. However, it is undeniable that they are convertible and can convert mutually with“non-under-achiever”in certain conditions.
