This paper describes in detail about the effect on the high pressure steam drum result from the sudden change of steam load and feed water flow. For traditional three-element Control philosophy and the control performance, the constitution of three-element Control system and the DCS configuration are provided in this paper, which wil better improve HP stream drum running condition and realize safe and steady operation.
