There are large amounts of sludge in the sewage treatment process. Sludge yield of town sewage treatment plant accounts for about 0.3%-0.5%of treated water. The aim of sludge treatment and disposal is minimization, harmless, stabilization and resource utilization of sewage sludge. Treatment and disposal of urban sewage treatment plant sludge should be based on regional economic and environmental conditions. Reduction and harmless is prior to be considered, when conditional, the resource utilization of sludge is considered secondly. This paper wil discuss the status of disposal and reuse of urban sewage sludge.
