语言形式和意义的平衡发展是外语教学不断追求的理想目标。信息加工理论认为学习者的注意力资源是有限的,在语言表达时很难同时注意到语言形式和意义。传统教学法以形式为中心,过分强调语言形式的准确性,而忽略了对语言流利性的培养;交际教学法以意义为中心,过分强调语言表达的流利性,却牺牲了语言表达的准确性。任务型语言教学法以意义为核心,但不忽视学习者对语言形式的注意,很好地体现了兼顾语言形式和意义的教学理念。

To achieve the balanced develoPment of linguistic meaning and form is an ideal goal in the field of Second Lan-guage Acquisition. But according to information Processing theory,with the limited Proces -singcaPacity,learners don′t have enough resources to notice both linguistic meaning and form during oral Performance. The traditional grammar-trans-lation aPProach overemPhasized the linguistic form at the exP-ense of linguistic meaning;while communicative aPProach Prioritizes the linguistic meaning at the exPen-se of linguistic form. With the meaning Priority and no ignorance of linguis-tic form,the Task-based Langua-ge Teaching aPProach reflects the ideal teaching PhilosoPhy of Paying attention to both the linguistic form and meaning.
