成昆铁路是全国综合运输大通道临河至防城港的重要组成部分,也是西部铁路网中的重要干线。但既有成昆线由于建设年代早,技术标准较低,作为单线铁路能力紧张,客货列车速度难以提高,运输能力有限,运输组织机动性差,既有线能力已经完全饱和。随着国民经济的快速发展,本段铁路不能适应客货运输发展需求,迫切需要进行扩能提速改造。从成昆铁路成都至峨眉段既有线路情况、设备状况、客货运量及路网等方面分析,提出既有线改建为120 km/h、140 km/h、160 km/h方案,增建第二线方案,新建双线等方案,通过多方案的技术经济综合比选,推荐增建二线行车速度160 km/h既有线维持不动方案。

Chengdu-Kunming Railway is an important part of the Linhe-Fangchenggang Section of the National Compre-hensive Transportation Passage,but also a significant trunk in the western railway network.However,as the existing Chengdu-Kunming Railway is a single track railway built in the earlier years and the technical standards level adopted are lower;it has a limited transport capacity and poor transport organization flexibility.It is hard for the passenger and freight train to raise speed on it.The limited capacity of the existing line cannot meet the demand of continuous growth of the passenger and freight volume due to the rapid growth of the national economy.Therefore the railway is in urgent need of expansion and speed-rising reconstruction.Based on the analysis of the condition of the existing railway line,equip-ment status,passenger and freight volume,railway network and other aspects of Chengdu-E'mei Section of Chengdu-Kunming Railway,several schemes are proposed,such as raising the speed of the existing line to 120 km/h,140 km/h and 160 km/h,adding a second line and building a new double-track railway.Through comprehensive comparison and selection from technical and economic aspects,it is recommended to build a second line of a running speed of 160 km/h and the existing line remaining unchanged.
