An overview on new advances in risk assessment and identification of microbiologically low-risk cosmetics were re-viewed in this paper. The principle,general method,key factors including constituents of products,manufacture conditions, packages and their combined influences on risk assessment,and identification results of risk assessment were introduced. It was usually used as guideline for cosmetic manufacturers and regulatory bodies to determine the routine application of the microbio-logical standards for cosmetics and other relevant products.
