T his paper summarized the main function and performance about the separator materials in the lithium battery ,its development inside and outside .It also described some methods of production . It discusses the production method of separator ,and expounds the difference of separator performance by dry -method or wet -method in detail .It simply introduces the status of the separator’s modifica-tion and development of new style of battery separator .At last ,it also predicts the future development of battery separator .
