功能教育工作法是将现代大学培养人才、科学研究和服务社会的三大功能与高校学生党员再教育相结合形成的一种推进高校学生党支部建设的党建工作法，它通过对大学的德育教育、专业教育和社会实践教育功能的拓展和延伸，形成了“育人为本”、“技能强身”、“服务社会”三部分内容，培养大学生党员理想信念、意志品质、专业技能、创新实践、服务意识的全方位发展，推进高校党建工作的创新改革与发展。
