By analyzing the sealing performance and working environment, the custemer requirement lists of the elastic reciprocating seals were extracted. Based on the QFD technology, the key factors affecting the quality characteristics of seal part during the processes of seal design, seal parts features, seal production and machining were identified. According to the identified key factors, the quility improving measures and control programme for elastic reciprocating seals were formulated, which provided valid quality control guides for improving the quility and performance level of seal parts.
