Analytical method for direct determination of 21 elements such as additive elements, wear metals and contaminants was established. Lubricating oil samples were only diluted 10 times by kerosene then determined by ICPOES. The recovery is 90%~105% for the elements with precision less than 1.5%. Compared to conventional method, it's more simple, more rapid and higher accuracy.
