通过对英语语言学的概念和特征进行描述、分析，从英语语音、词汇及文学方面剖析英语语言学在综合英语教学中的应用以及必要性。在此过程中，教学工作者应该结合实际情况在教学中充分应用语言学，加强英语的语言实践能力，真正意义上提高学生的英语综合能力。

Through description and analysis of the concept and characteristics of English linguistics , this paper dis-cusses and analyzes the application and necessity of English linguistics in comprehensive English teaching in terms of English pronunciation , vocabulary and literature .In the process , the teaching staff shall make full use of linguis-tics in teaching in combination with actual situation and strengthen the language practical ability of English to truly improve the comprehensive English ability of the students .
