土地作为人类生产和生活的载体,其投入为经济社会发展带来巨大的贡献。本文采用1996~2011年江苏省面板数据,引入建设用地综合扩展模型和弹性系数法,研究了江苏省及13个地级市建设用地扩展类型及建设用地增长对经济增长的贡献。全省13个地市建设用地扩展中,苏州、无锡、常州为剧烈扩展型,南京、南通、扬州为强扩展型,徐州、淮安、镇江、泰州、盐城为弱扩展型,连云港、宿迁为稳定型,4种类型区建设用地对二三产业产值的平均弹性系数分别为0.03、0.08、0.14和0.25;建设用地对经济增长的贡献程度,依剧烈扩展型、强扩展型、弱扩展型、稳定型顺序递增,表明经济发展水平越高,经济增长对建设用地扩展的依赖越小。

Land, as the basis for production and human habitat, has made an enormous contribution to the growth of the economy and society. Based on panel data of Jiangsu province for the period 1996-2011, this study analyzes the types of construction land expansion and the contribution of such land to economic growth, by using an integrated expansion model and elastic coefifcient method. Jiangsu can be divided into four types of construction land expansion:(i) intense expansion, including the three cities of Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou;(i ) strong expansion, including Nanjing, Nantong, and Yangzhou;(iii) weak expansion, including Xuzhou, Huaian, Zhenjiang, Taizhou, and Yancheng; and (iv) stable expansion, including Lianyungang and Suqian. The elastic coefifcients of the four types are 0.03, 0.08, 0.14, and 0.25, respectively. The different types of construction land expansion promote economic growth and efifcacy to different degrees, whereby stable expansion of construction land shows the largest contribution to economic growth, fol owed by weak expansion, strong expansion, and intense expansion. This result shows that higher rates of economic development and growth are associated with lower levels of construction land expansion.
