间充质干细胞的应用是神经系统疾病治疗的新技术。骨髓、脐血、脂肪源性的间充质干细胞先后被用于治疗癫的实验。在癫治疗中,间充质干细胞主要通过旁分泌细胞因子、神经递质和神经营养因子调节癫病灶的生化环境和受体功能,也可作为基因工程载体发挥治疗作用。本综述总结了间充质干细胞治疗癫的实验方法、移植途径和可能机制。

Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) is a newly developed tool of cell therapy to cure diseases in nervous system. MSCs derived from bone marrow, umbilical cord blood or adipose tissue are mostly used in epilepsy treatment. Through paracrine mechanisms mediated by the release of cytokines, certain neurotransmitters and neurotrophic factors, MSCs contribute to the function of local neurotransmitters and their receptors. By contributing as tools of genetic engineering, MSCs also show a therapeutic activation. In this review, we summarized the basic experiment principles in isolating and culturing MSCs, the ways and mechanics of MSCs transplanted in protecting nervous system from epileptic injury.
