Some questions in the process of designing the third grade pressure vessel were proposed based on years of design experience, such as welded joint coefficient, welded joint type, nondestructive examination requirement and pipe flange type. Focusing on these questions, the corresponding design schemes were presented. Compilation content and method on the risk assessment of pressure vessel were introduced. In the end, detailed description of the above conclusions with project example was also obtained, which provided reference to design the third pressure vessel.
