构树为多年生落叶乔木，是优秀的水土保持和固土护坡植物。为预防构树小线角木蠹蛾的危害，首先应该遵守检疫制度，认真做好苗木产地检疫及调运检疫工作。然后加强日常病虫害的巡查工作。并且在校园的种植设计过程中，进行合理的植物搭配。同时，加强养护管理措施，提高构树生长势。一旦发现构树有小线角木蠹蛾幼虫危害时，及时采取以生物防治和物理防治为主的措施，包括往虫孔注射原生线虫或白僵菌，来防治幼虫，以及使用诱虫灯或性诱捕器，防治成虫。并且以低毒的化学药剂防治为辅，彻底杀死害虫。从而使构树能更好地发挥水土保持和边坡的生态防护作用。
