名人故居是传承民族文化、弘扬民族精神的重要载体，也是重要的旅游资源。在对研究现状回顾分析的基础上，选取了名人故居旅游开发评价的指标体系，利用加权合成法构建了综合评价模型。利用该指标体系和评价模型对湖南省怀化市域内15处名人故居旅游开发适宜性进行了实证研究，结果表明该评价方法具有一定的实践意义。

Former celebrity residence is an important carrier of heritage advanced culture and develops the national spirit , also is an important tourism resource . On the basis of analysis of the research status , we established evaluation index system and constructed comprehensive evaluation model using the weighted synthesis .And we using this index system and evaluation model to have an empirical study which lies in Huaihua .In the example ,we chose 15 former celebrity residences to carry out the comprehensive evaluation .The results show that the evaluation index and method has some practical significance .And which helps to promote the protection and development of former celebrity residences .
