This paper presents existing problems encou-ntered in the construction of intelligent distribution network in rural areas,and explores the causes of these problems. The paper proposes some practical principles for the construction of intelligent distribution network including: attaching greater importance to the full data collection and uploading the collec-ted data through a variety of communication channels;attaching greater importance to the fast line fault location to shorten the fault searching time and improve power supply reliability;paying more attention to the data integration to improve the practicability of the main station;introduction of safety management and field operations management to make up for lack of“remote control”in the intelligent distribution network.
