Based on the study of the HuangHai chemical industry research institute information col ection, the article explains the procedures of historic building information col ection,the method of establishing a historic building information model and its features.This study focuses on how to achieve the industrial historic building information lossless transfer with three-dimensional laser scanning and BIM. It alsoanalyzes the historic building life-cycle concept with BIM. It summarizes the characteristics of BIM in the information col ection of historic building.
