Business English translation is a cognitive process. schema theory has seldom been applied to business English. This pa-per is written on the basis of the features of business English and schema theory; it studies the process in which schemata are formed in the brain and the application of four major schemata to business English translation. Through introducing theories and illustrating many examples, the thesis shows the importance of the application of the schema theory to business English translation.
