The flame-retardant polyester fibers were dyed with disperse golden yel ow E-TD, disperse red 3B and disperse blue 2BLN through different dyeing process and formulation. The influences of dyeing temperature, pH and dosage of dispersant on the dyeing behavior of flame-retardant polyester fibers were in-vestigated, and the dye uptake and K/S values were measured. The dyeing rate constants of the three dyes in the dyeing of fibers were calculated and the kinetic adsorption was studied, which were compared with the conventional polyester fibers. The results showed that: during the dyeing of flame-retardant polyester fiber with disperse dyes, dyeing rate was high at 80~100 ℃ and the dye uptake could be high at 100 ℃, however the conventional polyester fibers need more than 120 ℃ in order to obtain a high uptake percentage. The opti-mal pH of flame-retardant polyester fiber dyeing was 5, the excess dispersant would result in lower dye utili-zation. The dyeing rate and rate constant increased with the increasing of dyeing temperature.
