The vegetative growth of saplings for Prunus armeniaca L.‘Katy’are vigorous;vegetative pruning tech-niques are difficult to achieve bearing and high-yielding.In a scientific and rational pruning,Prunus armeniaca L.‘Katy’was conducted regulation by applying plant growth inhibitors (PP333).Result shows that:after Prunus ar-meniaca L.cv.Katy was applied PP333,new shoot length are significantly lower,the increase of roughness slow down,internodes are shorter,the number of flower buds increase significantly,per fruit weight increase significant-ly;yield per plant increase significantly;the saplings of Prunus armeniaca L.Katy can be converted from vegetative growth to reproductive growth by applying PP333;the yield and economic benefit of Prunus armeniaca L.Katy can be increased by applying PP333.
