This paper reviews the progress in studies on polylactic acid foamed plastics ,namely the environmental foamed plastics .It in-cludes the studies researched by the domestic and overseas scholars on the polylactic acid foaming performance ,process conditions ,bubble hole form and so on .Some existing problems are put forward and the study on polylactic acid foamed technology in the future is prospected in this paper .Continuous extrusion of microcellular foam of polyactic (PLA) will be the goal and direction in the future .To achieve the goal will accelerate the industrialization process of microcellular plastics polyactic (PLA) .
