The principle and operation method on pretightening frame of large-scale extrusion press were intro-duced.Through analysis of stress deformation of pull-rod and pressure colum,before and after pretightening frame of 125MN extrusion press,it gained that pretightening pull-rod is 36% of stress change range of un-pretightening pull-rod,which is 29.5% of extension unpretightening pull-rod.Pretightening is able to prolong fatigue life of pull-rod,improve rigidity of extrusion press,and ensure product accuracy.
