Under the circumstance of insufficient copper resource, recovery of scrap copper is the supplement to insufficient copper resource. But scrap copper has many different kinds, complex quality, long test procedure. complicated process and strict quality con-trol, in which the test can not be completed by single method. In order to adapt to the change of the market, the demand of enterprise development, and the guarantee of the raw materials safety, different kinds of scrap copper need to be corresponding to different tests. According to the test work of years, Guixi Smelter has summed up the visual observation test and intermediate frequency furnace test experience and has formed a set of scientific, reasonable and standard inspection process.
