Electroplating industry in the process of production will produce and emit large quantities of waste water containing heavy metals,which not only seriously pollutes the environment,but also causes the waste of resources.If use the membrane technology to treat waste water containing heavy metal,it will enable the compact equipment,simple operation and can realize recycle and reuse of the waste water containing heavy metal.It also conforms to the principle of cleaner production,and its application prospect is very broad.This paper introduces the principle of membrane technology,reverse osmosis and nanofiltration technology in treat-ment and recycling of nickel plating rinse water,and problems in the application of reverse osmosis technology. The further research direction and development trend are referred at the end.
