The natural profile and vegetation status are briefly reviewed along the proposed railway from Ejina to Wutongshui section of the new construction railway from Ejina to Hami region. The ecological restoration principles and applications along the proposed new construction railway project in Gobi desert are put forward. The engineering measures are always put in the priority in the protection systems. The temporary measures should be specially emphasized, and the vegetation restoration measures should be taken closely based on local conditions. Those recommendations are put forward in the ecological restoration system and management measures in the railway construction in similar areas.
