高职文秘英语教育的根本目标是培养具备文秘英语知识和文秘岗位英语应用能力的复合型和应用型的高职文秘人才。而英语应用能力是高职文秘专业课程教学的重点之一。为了使高职文秘学生尽快适应未来文秘工作岗位对英语职业能力的需求，应以能力为本位对当前的高职文秘英语教学进行改革。本文分析了职业能力的涵义和高职文秘英语教学的现状，并且从教师、教材、实践教学方面入手，探讨了培养与提高高职文秘学生英语职业能力的有效途径。

The fundamental goal of higher vocational secretary English education is to cultivate interdisciplinary and applied high-er vocational secretary talents with secretary English knowledge and secretary English application ability, while English applica-tion ability is one of the key points of higher vocational secretary teaching. In order to make higher vocational secretary students adapt to the requirements of secretary posts for their English vo-cational ability, we should reform the current higher vocational secretary English teaching oriente d by abilities. This paper ana-lyzed the connotation of vocational ability and the current situa-tion of higher vocational secretary English teaching, and starting from the teaching, textbook and practice teaching, explored ef-fective ways of cultivating and improving higher vocational secre-tary students' English vocational ability.
