A novel self-regulated J-T cryocooler for infrared detector is introduced,shape memory alloy is used as regu-lated elements.Compared with the bellows self-regulated cryocooler,the cryocooler has the advantages of simple struc-ture,easy adjustment,long life and good stability.Working principle of shape memory alloy and the cryocoolers struc-ture are discussed.The current status and prospect of cryogenic shape memory alloy are introduced.
