沥青玛蹄脂碎石混合料(SMA)是按照内摩擦角最大的原则,以间断级配的粗集料形成相互嵌挤的矿料骨架,然后按照空隙率较小的原则,以沥青玛蹄脂填充骨架的空隙,形成一种骨架密实型沥青混合料。该混合料具有很好的耐久性、抗高温稳定性、抗低温开裂性、抗滑性和较好的防渗性能。沥青玛蹄脂碎石混合料的构成特性俗称“三多一少”,即沥青用量多、矿粉用量多、粗骨料用量多、细集料少。以攀枝花某路面工程SMA-13上面层(SBS改性沥青)施工为例,来说明SMA的配合比设计和施工质量控制。
