The ball-bar was used to detect roundness error of CNC milling machine,and it was obtained that the roundness error was different when milling parts were placed on the different location of table. Then work efficiency and machining accuracy of parts are improved,and it provides practical experience for the machine operator. Moreover maintenance reference is provided for personnel in CNC machine tool maintaining.
