Combined with the engineering case in the area of Chenjia Town in Chongming Island, this article describes in detail the design of green bridge decks. Through the form of green areas, plants, growing soil and other options, checking on the upper structure, as wel as the construction of bridge deck waterproofing and drainage measures, this is beneficial to study and explore and innovative design. Although the overal economic index increased slightly, but the social benefit and ecological benefit is obvious, the expected objectives have been achieved.
