The general situation of a sulfur recovery and tail gas treatment unit in carbon disul-fide industry is introduced .The composition of process gas at the beginning of operation is ana-lyzed ,and then the data about organic sulfur hydrolysis and gas composition after hydrogenation is obtained .The reasons of higher hydrogen consumption ,larger pressure difference and pH val-ue reduction of chilled water are discussed .Combined with catalyst evaluation ,corresponding suggestions are proposed .The hydrogenation section of unit runs well after hydrogenation cata-lyst resulfurized .The results of industrial application show that the combination of CT 6-11 low temperature tail gas hydrogenation catalyst and CT 6-8 Ti-based catalyst has been applied success-fully ,w hich can be applied to similar devices .
