杜诗中有不少吟咏花卉之作，其花意象内涵独特。花似警钟，激起诗人迟暮的哀叹；花如知音，展示幽怀独抱的情致；花是故国家园的象征，总是牵动游子忧国思家的悲愁；花前有乐，体现出怡然自得、狂放不羁的文人意趣。杜诗“花”意象，既具沉郁顿挫之风，又不乏豪逸藻丽之姿，是诗人丰富复杂的生命历程的侧影，也是诗人真挚情感与高尚人格的艺术呈现，对后世文学特别是宋词产生了重要影响。
두시중유불소음영화훼지작，기화의상내함독특。화사경종，격기시인지모적애우；화여지음，전시유부독포적정치；화시고국가완적상정，총시견동유자우국사가적비수；화전유악，체현출이연자득、광방불기적문인의취。두시“화”의상，기구침욱돈좌지풍，우불핍호일조려지자，시시인봉부복잡적생명역정적측영，야시시인진지정감여고상인격적예술정현，대후세문학특별시송사산생료중요영향。
Du Fu's poetry for many chant of Flowers,his flower imagery have unique content. Du Fu's poetry "flower" image,is both Profound and rigorous,but also magnificent gesture,is the silhouette as rich and complex history of the poet's life,is the art show of poet's sincere feelings and noble character,had an important impact on later literature,especially Song Ci.
