民办高校是中国高等教育办学体制改革创新的重要成果，为促进高等教育大众化做出了积极贡献。档案管理工作是学校重要的基础性工作，对推动学校全面发展起着非常重要的作用。本文浅析了新时期民办高校档案管理人员应具备的素质，并就如何提高档案管理人员素质，提出了若干对策和建议。

The private college, as an important achievement of the reform and innovation on the college-running system of China's higher education, has made positive contributions to promoting the popularization of higher education. Archives management is an important basic work for a college, and it plays a very impor-tant role in promoting the comprehensive development of the col-lege. This paper briefly analyzes qualities private college archives management personnel should possess in the new period, and proposes several countermeasures and suggestions on the im-provement of their qualities.
