独立学院以培养应用型创新人才为办学宗旨，坚持面向社会需求的办学定位。经过十年的发展，大部分的独立学院已经进入教学改革期。本文以西安财经学院行知学院为例，采用问卷调查与访谈相结合的方法，对该校2014届英语专业学生进行了调查研究。以需求分析理论为框架，着重分析了学生的个人需求以及社会用人单位对英语专业人才的需求。研究发现非外语类独立院校应以“英语+特色专业”为实践教学方向，从而满足学生的个人需求与社会需求。最后，从课程设计、实践训练、课程资源以及教学主体等方面提出了改善独立学院英语专业实践教学的方法。

The independent university, oriented to meet the social needs, has taken the mission of developing innovative and practi-cal talents. The past ten years have witnessed the development of independent universities. It is urgent for them to engage in edu-cational reform. Taking Xing Zhi College of Xi'an University of Finance and Economics as an example, with the methods of questionnaires and interview, this paper has investigated the graduates of English majors in 2014. Based on the needs analysis theory, the analyses of the students' needs and the employers' needs are emphasized. The research shows that the independent university should take "English+Special Major" as the direction of its teaching reform in order to meet the social and the students' needs. Several ways of improving practical teaching have been put forward, such as the enhancement of course plan, practical training, course resources and the training of teaching parts.
