The paper expounds application of infrared imaging technology in Wenzhou power grid. It analyzes and introduces four typical heat cases of electrical equipment in Wenzhou , indicating that infrared tempera-ture measurement can detect electrical equipment faults such as insulation faults , oil leakage of bushing, ab-normal increase of loss and fake connection of end shield as well as detect the defects through tracking and analysis, which can provide effective basis for further decision-making of maintenance.
