This paper describes the design of a diagnostic ultrasound system based on OMAP3530. The diagnostic ultrasound system platform, built with OMAP3530, its supporting power supply and memory chips, features low power consumption, rich common interfaces and fast data transfer rate. Connected via GPMC interface and digital signal processing FPGA of ultrasound module, the system platform achieves high-speed data transfer of ultrasound module control parameters and ultrasound data. The paper also covers the design and implementation of timing, drivers and application related to GPMC bus in details. Final y the designed product was tested and veriifed upon completion.
