Aralia elata is a kind of wild plant with high economic value. It contains various chemical consti-tutes,such as triterpene steroid,flavone,organic acid etc. Moreover,this plant is of great value to medicine, which is involved in the aspects of anti-tumour,anti-stress,anti-fatigue,anti-aging and the improvement of heart and liver function. This paper summarizes the research development of the distribution of wild aralia elata and the cultivation situation of this plant.
